My Story
If you’re here, you may be looking for something a little different from standard maternity care. More time. More continuity. A midwife who feels human, present, and genuinely on your side.
I’ve spent over a decade working in maternity care, beginning my midwifery training in 2015 after working in the world of fertility. Supporting people through emotional and sometimes complicated paths to parenthood taught me early on how important it is to feel truly listened to, believed, and supported as an individual, not just another appointment in a busy system.

After qualifying as a midwife, I worked across all areas of NHS maternity services, including labour wards, birth centres, community teams and continuity of carer models. I gained invaluable experience and worked with some incredible professionals. Over time though, I found myself wanting to offer more than the system allowed. Appointments were rushed, continuity was difficult to protect, and I met too many women who felt anxious, overwhelmed, or unheard.

That feeling, of wanting to care differently but being limited by the system, is why I chose to step away from the NHS.

In 2023, I moved fully into private midwifery, and it has been the best and most fulfilling decisions of my career. Working outside of the system means I can offer unrushed appointments, genuine continuity, and care that is shaped around you. I support families planning home births, hospital births, and planned caesareans, but more importantly, I support people, not birth plans.

What often sets my care apart is how it feels. Appointments are relaxed, conversational, and often filled with humour. Pregnancy and birth are huge experiences, and sometimes a laugh is just as important as the clinical side of things. Families regularly tell me that seeing me feels less like an appointment and more like catching up with someone they trust, while still knowing they are in very safe, experienced hands.

I don’t believe there is one right way to give birth. My role is to give you clear, evidence based information, to advocate for you when needed, and to help you feel confident making decisions that feel right for you and your baby. This is especially important if you are carrying anxiety, previous trauma, or disappointment from past care.

In 2022, I qualified as a Professional Midwifery Advocate, which means advocacy sits at the heart of how I work. Whether you are birthing at home or in hospital, I am there to help you feel heard, respected, and supported.

Supporting families to birth outside of the constraints of a system is my passion. I care deeply about the families I work with, and it is an honour to be invited into such a personal chapter of your life.
If you are looking for experienced, personalised care with warmth, humour, and true continuity, I would love to be the midwife who walks alongside you.
